belgium to croatia (and back) on a vespa

hi, I recently discovered this Croatian vespa forum when I was on the internet looking for information on Croatia. This summer, half june to half july a friend and I are coming to Croatia on our Vespa.
Our first goal is to go to Osijek because I have friends there but after that all options are open...
We haven't got the slightest idea how the vespa-scene is in Croatia but maybe you people can give us some tips of what to do and what not to do, where to go,...anything...

well, the vespa community in Croatia is slowly growing 
we founded Vespa club Croatia on the 31.5.2007. and we have  30 members so far.

Unfortunately, there are no club members in Osijek....but we have members in almost every major city: Zagreb, Split, Zadar, Rijeka....

Which route will you take to Croatia?
Which vespa models are you driving?

Assuming that you are going to Osijek first, and would like to visit the coast, as you said it would be interesting to go through the northern part of Eastern Croatia there and through the southern part on the way to the sea.

Perhaps you might ride with us from the VCC a part of the way.
We have members of the forum in all parts of Croatia, some of them are legally part of the Club and some are not but they are not different from us

thanks for the reactions so far.
I'm driving a 1961 GL150 (with a PX engine with DR177) and my friend will probably be riding a GS160
About the route we will be taking, well we are still working on that part, we will be going over Germany, Austria and Slovenia to Osijek. We will be a few days in that area ( I also want to visit Vukovar) and after that I think we will be going over Zagreb to the coast. It would be nice to meet some af you an ride together, after all you know the places interesting to see...

Hi Vespa friends!

Treviso is a great idea if you can fit it in your schedule. If not, some of us will be in Klagenfurt (Austria) from June 12th to 17th, cheering for our national football team on UEFA Championship. You can then join us on the way back.

If you already have the dates, try to be more specific and we'll arrange something for you.

Anyway, you'll have people to ride with wherever you go in Croatia.

I agree with Kivno, very nice rides. Maybe you could write something (and post a few pictures) in our tuning forum about your GL150, sound really interesting.

I think our vespa holiday in Croatia is becoming more and more fun already...
I'll try to answer all your questions...
Normaly we are leaving June 14th and we hope to go from Belgium to Osijek in 4 - 5 days (about 400 to 500 km/ day)
We plan to stay in the Osijek region for a few days and after that we will probably be going in the direction of Zagreb.
After that we will be going to the coast (Istrie, i think). I don't think we wil have enough time to go all the way to Split or Dubrovnik but it all depends on what or who we see and meet...we don't really have a real day-to-day plan...
The only thing that is certain is that i have to be in Luxemburg july 8th...and i have to be back at work july 14th...

@monkey: About the tuning section, well... I had to use an online translator to get logged on to this forum because my Croatian is limmited to about 4 - 5 words so it's a bit difficult...

batman, don't worry, just write on english (if you want, of course), and we will translate it in croatian to those who will be interested in. I didn't expect that you speak croatian, 4-5 words is even more than I thought.
